My First Marathon

YEA!! I managed to finish my first marathon at Putrajaya Night Marathon yesterday!! It was great and today my legs are still okie. I’ve finished the 7.7km run by 68 mins and yea i know this is not such a great record but her, I did not run for 2 months before this and this is my first time k~ so please give me some allowance on that k hehehe

so the feeling was great and I was with a bunch of nutties so making the process even more fun! Am really looking forward to the next one. Currently as I know there is a Baleno Marathon ( 10km) and RedFM ( 4.5km). . gonna get the girls and hopefully can decide on it asap cause this time, I wanna go for the run at least ‘prepared’.

I think i’m hooked~

Entering the first month for my new job this sat, i’ll be celebrating it with a 7.7km marathon at Putrajaya.

Yea, i might be able to survive my first month but i don’t think that i’ll be able to survive my first run.. damn i have been eating and stop jogging since dec and it has been a foodfull months recently.
Name any food tat is forbidden and I had them all in my stomach.

Just measured from the weight measured and yes, i am about to over hit the ‘safe KG boundary ‘ that I had set for myself and yea, cny is coming n i dun need a fortune teller to predict me of my weight.

I have been working late recently and I seriously do not have the time to do any exercise, looking tat the time that I got home, the sky is dark and my eyes are about to shut..

sa, u have to tell yrself u know, u have to start setting on your calendar like how u used to, starting when and when u must satrt working out and of course, this sat will sure be a hell for you.. congratulation you lazy pig. you are a dead meat man.. a fat one lagi.

Kick off for 4d3n

jus came back from a 4 days 3 nights kick off at Hard Rock Hotel, Penang..

It was a stressful, tiring but exciting & fun filling trip.. I’ve learned so much more about this company during this trip and in fact I had met the MD from India..i wasn’t having any expectation before the meeting therefore I was kinda surprised when our MD walks in.. He is HANDSOME. SMART . FUNNY and yea… very handsome hahaha somehow it makes the meeting much more interesting hehehe he is indeed very SMART looking..

so back to the kick off.. the first day was our product briefing and here I get to learn about our company products and what are their features.. I must say this company has many good products in market and the regional is very supportive unlike many other regional that i have seen.. they have many plans to roll out and it is really up to the locals to do our best to create ‘noise/hype’ in the market and our team to give their best to bring in the numbers..no wonder they says this year will be a challenging year.. i look forward cause this year i get to LEARN alot..of course, WORK alot too … no pain, no gain..

second day was our official kick off meeting, stressful cause it a whole day meeting with serious topics to present, stress cause the smart handsome looking MD is there, stressful cause the regional HR manager is there.. He is the one who had fight for a ‘compensation bonus’ for me to leave my ex-company earlier to join them.. therefore, this is the first time, he saw me – the ‘product’ he bought in

third day, we had our amazing race competition.. we had to go through puzzles- tunnels crawing..DARK DARK tunnels in Penang War Museum-drive out to butterworth- eat a menu of designated local food( i love this part hehehe)- drive all the way to kek lok si- climbed to the highest pagoda- run to the Kuan Yin statue- drive again to have 10 coconuts-Toy Museum-flying kites by the beach- jump into the swimming pool and reach our final destination at the hotel. We won the first prize The process is tiring but when we recall all the things that we did, the laughters that we shared.. i am kinda glad that i came back smiling even as i am typing this

Fourth day, we departed from Penang and reached KL before we proceed back to the office.. i guess, it’s true when we play hard..we need to work hard too to get back on track..

Working in the new company is very stressful to be honest ( imagine on the second day, i am already feel like breaking down)..a lot of changes going on and it is not easy to adapt and to follow with all the ‘latest’ news.. there is so much that my lady boss is gonna do and I will be her only sarjan to combat together..i will learn I am sure and I am looking forward to see what are the plans are..

Ever since bro’s wedding, i’ve been eating regulary including supper until to up to date.. It was because of the endless celebration and party that i had in december from ean’s wedding, back to ping’s hometown, farewell parties, xmas n new year parties.. then a week back hometown in January before the kick off in penang last week ( where we certainly eating at open-cheque style)..

I am desperate to get back on track again.. to be able to jog non stop and sweat heavily again.. went for an hour walking yesterday to get back to the momentum, jus hope that i’ll be able to allocate time after work next week onwards everyday to jog a bit – at the moment, time seems very pack as we have a lot projects going on this quarter..it will certainly b a very busy quarter so let’s jus hope! fingers crossed!

February 6, I will be joining my first marathon at Putrajaya, I really need the stamina. Looking forward to it very much! so am going to jog later, let’s jus pray it won’t rain k

p/s: last min training won’t help i know, but at least smthg better than nothing rite hehehe

went to 1u & midvalley yesterday and today.. walking alone with my camera on hand.. snap snap snap as I walk..observing and recording everything that I can see and hear along the process..

the feeling was kinda weird and lonely but again the motive for my every action is clear and strong..

this is indeed a new experience for me.. is your job challenging? are there many obstacles , quests and blind roads to go through? mine sure am not a easy start but I know at the end, if i succeed, it will help me greatly!

2nd day in battle field

Some time ago, I told Nee

‘ Nee, salary = pressure. The amount that you are getting or expecting will also be equivalent with the amount of stress that you will be facing’

It may not only be the pile of work or the endless tasks but it could involve also the process, the decision making and the responsibilities behind every step. Every task are assigned with expectation and your title holds the credibility that you project for others ( regardless if you would really want that ‘position’)

Many often we hear people says ‘ She’s a manager la! She should be able to know this’ – Nailed, classic example. A prefect combo, title + expectation

Don’t worry I am not a Manager. I’m a Marketer.. a new term, a new identity for me.. so much to learn and so much to explore. My superior is someone that is very knowledgeable and experienced and I do look forward to learn so much from her..No doubt, the early weeks will be stressful when you are trying to figuring out the terms, processes, their culture, the language that they speaks, the way of communication and of course, who’s who in the company. You wouldn’t want the MD to open the door for u, I’m sure.

Everyone change and move on for a better future.. I do not regret my decision. Don’t worry.

Just feel like sharing as I am currently just the second day into my new company and it’s normal to be:

1) kelam kabut

2) Unsure

3 ) Picking up everything like a garbage truck

Since I’ve overloaded with information, it just feels right to download it here

In just one more day, 2009 will officially be over and 2010 will be another new year.

A new year, a new beginning. I will be joining a new company in the mid of January 2010. The feelings are a mixture of excitement & fear.

I am excited to see what the new post holds for me. I am eager to expand my wings, absorb as much as I can and get myself well groomed for a better future. I look forward to it cause it is another phase of my life, another advancement in my career path.
I fear as it will be a new environment after a comfortable 2 years plus in my current company.
I fear that I will not be able to meet the expectation of my new company.
I fear cause I did not plan to leave so early for a new job but this has been an opportunity that comes suddenly.
Therefore, there is a part of me that is still shaky. Mentally I am prepared, emotionally.. man I hope this coming few days of new year holiday will be sufficient enough for me to be fully charged and prepared for 2010.
I do admit, I am grateful though I am afraid.

I don’t usually make new year resolutions or wish list but for 2010 I want to accomplish something in my life or at least for the year. OK ok, may not so much of accomplishment but rather I want 2010 to be fruitful year to me.

Instead of making a resolution for a year, I intend to list down my plans and break them down into 3 quarter.

Jan – April
- New company, new learning curve , new challenges.. to adapt and pick up asap
- Keep on track with CNY budget. Do not over spend again please. I am still in deficit..- Joining my first marathon at Putrajaya
- To lose enough weight to wear cheongsam for the first time – anyone wanna join me?
- Trip to Kuching
- Lose weight for WeiWei’s wedding

May-August
- To conduct a gathering with the girls in June
- Lose weight for Bali trip
- To be able to wear bikini for Bali trip ( this is still a pending idea)

Sept – Dec
- To help cousin sis with her wedding planning ( my first experience as bride’s maid hahaha)
- Lose weight for cousin sis wedding
- Pay my ptptn
- Visit Ping’s mother at least once a year

Besides what’s written, most importantly for every month I will want to
- Save enough
- Save enough for ptptn
- Continue to go home every month despite I might be busy or tired from work
- Continue the girls gathering till many many years to come
- Lose more weight hhahaha okie okie maintain at least

All the above may subject to changes hehehe but of course in the meantime, that’s what holds for me in year 2010. I can’t wait for it to come already.. Happy New Year everybody..

I will be leaving my current company by end of this month.. It has been a great 2 years plus and I had indeed meet many funny and great colleagues that I can call them friends here.

It has been a crazy week with all those party , eating and jokes and they had also given me many lovely gifts for memory.

I will miss them for sure and I am thankful for everything..
